VIVO is one of the leading Technology company that design, develop and manufacture smartphone. This brand is quite popular in India as they were the sponsor for the Indian Premier League edition 2016 and 2017. VIVO has taken next step to get closer to Indian smartphone buyers by setting its first Experience Centre. The new store is in Brigade Road, which is at the heart of Bangalore. For launch of this outlet, Mr. Keng (Chief Marketing Officer of VIVO) and reputed Kannada movie cine star Sruthi Hariharan were present. I was invited to be part of the launch by the media.
This was one of the fun-filled store launch events that had plenty of activities.
First part of the event was the store-opening which was done by Cine star Sruthi Hariaran. She walked across the entire store and then shared her views on the need for smartphone. It gave an opportunity to some of her fans to get a glimpse and click pictures. Sruthi was a great sport, as she picked the latest VIVO V7 phone and took a selfie.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Kenny Zeng mentioned about VIVO’s commitment for creating and letting consumers experience before purchase. This is the first of its kind in Indian and they plan to open many more across the country.
Every guest entering on the day got an opportunity to fill a lucky coupon. There was an hourly lucky draw and the winner of the same would get a brand new VIVO V7 phone. It was fun as people were expectant and wanted their coupon to be picked, just like me.
The store has some special section that are setup precisely for guests to take selfies.
VIVO has realized the potential within the Indian market and decided to launch an independent centre. The brand has had some of the popular models which have done extremely well in the market including – X1, X5Pro, X5Max and many more. The latest and the popular model is the Vivo V7 and V7 Plus.
The outlet is spread across 3600 Sq. Ft. across 2 floors where customer can access the entire range of Y and V series of Vivo smartphone. Interiors in the store is quite young and vibrant. Anyone visiting the store would invariably look take pictures and upload it to the social media.
History of VIVO
A Chinese Technology company that was founded in 2009. The brand uses Hi-Fi chips in its smartphones. Software developed by the company includes the Vivo App Store, iManager, and a proprietary Android-based operating system called Funtouch OS.
The company started their International expansion in 2014 and currently are established across more than 100 countries. They have signed up some leading celebrities like – Stephen Curry (popular basketball player part of Golden State Warrior team in NBA), Ranveer Singh (Bollywood actor) to promote the brand. VIVO is also the main sponsor for World Cup Football 2018 & 2022.

The company has over 80,000 retail stores across India and sells through all Vivo exclusive stores, e-commerce platforms like Flipkart and Amazon, and all the modern retails stores. VIVO has established itself as one of the top smartphone brands in India.

It was a good launch event well attended by officials, celebrities, media and public. I was also thrilled to meet & greet the Kannada cine star Sruthi Hariharm and click pictures. The event was more fun with the lucky draw and chance to win brand new phone. I am sure this store will become very busy in days to come.
